Our Scientific Mission

Our lab is interested in the molecular regulation of inflammation and its role in pathophysiology.  In particular, we are interested in how immunogenic cell death (ICD) intersects with inflammatory processes.  We seek to understand cell death and inflammatory responses at the molecular, cellular and organismal levels.  We employ different screening methods to identify key factors involved in these processes.  Moreover, we build mouse models to examine the physiological functions of the identified factors and pathways in cell death and inflammation.  Through collaboration with clinical scientists, we also interrogate the relevance of our discoveries in human diseases.
